(Ελληνικά) Κυπαρισσία – Εορτές – Θρησκευτικός Τουρισμός

Kyparissia and the wider region of Trifyllia offer opportunities for religious tourism. There are many holidays throughout the year. On the feast of the Holy Spirit in Kyparissia, the White Night is organized, a discount night, where the shops remain open until the morning hours, offering discounts. There is also a road race around the city. At Easter, during Holy Week, events such as the release of bright lanterns into the sky on Good Friday or fireworks on the night of the Resurrection are organized. From the Apollo Resort Art Hotel in Kyparissia the spectacle is amazing! On the feast of the Cross (14 September), there is a big festival in the area, where in addition to the worship events, there is an open-air market with various goods throughout the events.

Kyparissia Messinia: sightseeing within 1 hour

Kyparissia can be used as a base to visit many attractions nearby and a little further away, whether it is archaeological sites or natural beauty sites. Starting from the Apollo Resort Art Hotel in Kyparissia, if you choose to head north, you can visit Neda’s waterfalls. It will take you about 45 minutes to reach the starting point of the hiking trail. From there, the hiking takes 20 minutes to reach the waterfalls. It is an easy route. You can also visit the temple of Epicurean Apollo, which is 1 hour from Kyparissia. It’s the twin brother of Parthenon, just smaller in scale. Also, Ancient Olympia is at the same distance. Beyond the archaeological site, you can also visit the museum in the town of Olympia, which is the first museum to host the exhibits that were discovered in Ancient Olympia, before the new museum was built, at the entrance of the archaeological site. The most beautiful archaeological site of Messinia is undoubtedly Ancient Messini. It is an archaeological site of enormous importance, located to the east of Kyparissia, about an hour’s drive away. Ancient Messina is the old capital of the Messinian state, a city of over 50,000 inhabitants, with many […]

Kyparissia : what to do in 5km distance

Kyparissia is a city on the west side of Messinia. It is located at a hub, 1 hour from Kalamata, Tripoli and Sparta, 40 minutes from Pyrgos and about 2:30 hours from Athens. In Kyparissia the visitor can visit some of the most beautiful beaches of the Ionian Sea and does not need to be too far from the city. The central beach of Kyparissia, Ay Lagoudis, is organized and offers umbrellas and sun loungers. There are two Bar-Restaurants on the beach to serve the bathers and not only. A small beautiful beach, “the Holes” (from the presence of rocks with holes and small caves) is to the right of the port of town not organized and you will need an umbrella for the sun and extra towels or mats. At that beach the hotel Apollo Resort Art has access (200m). At some point, you can also do nudity. (Ask the hotel about access). Three kilometers outside Kyparissia, to the north is Sani Beach. It is also organized with umbrellas and sun beds as well as a Bar / Restaurant. If you continue a little further north you will find Kalo Nero, with the homonymous beach. The distance is just […]

The first escape room in a hotel is now reality!

Recently the Apollo Resort Art Hotel completed the creation of a live-action escape room on its premises! The hotel is among the first worldwide that offers such entertainment on its premises ! The live-action escape room concept, which has taken off in recent years in cities across the globe, is a physical adventure game for groups of 2-6 thrill seekers who are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within a set time limit. What makes the escape room of the Apollo Resort Art Hotel stand out is its direct reference to the area’s local production and products as the room’s theme “Immortality” is focused on local wine and history. Once in the escape room, the players are requested to find — in just 60 minutes —  the unique wine that will offer them “immortality” and of course the key to escape from the room. We are in the decade of 1960 at the house of a very cultivated man, who has discovered the secret of immortality and well-being and has hidden it well in a single bottle of wine. The group has 60′ at its disposal to find […]
